The Transport Workers Union of America (TWU) has continued to receive many questions from IFCs about the Company’s Opt-Out and extended R&R programs, which they announced last week. Regardless of what Management has stated, the TWU had no input in the development of these programs, and we did not receive them until a few minutes before they were announced. Suffice it to say, if your Union had been involved, we would have made recommendations, including monetary incentives that were offered to other work groups, to make them more appealing to our JetBlue IFCs.
We understand that decisions about the Company’s Opt-Out and extended R&R programs are very important and potentially life changing. We have asked JetBlue where we should direct IFCs who have questions about their personal situations. JetBlue suggested that IFCs refer to the R&R FAQs linked to Ed Baklor’s updates, your Inflight Supervisor, or Crew Relations at CRResources@jetblue.com.
We look forward to our Telephone Town Hall Call on Friday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m., EDT. Please register for the call or send us your questions in advance at the website. We will send the call details to all registered attendees. We will have our NT and advisors on the call to update you on the current state of Negotiations after this week’s session.
Registration and question submission will close TOMORROW (June 18) at Noon, EDT. Call details will be sent to all registered attendees by end of the day tomorrow.
Please continue to stay safe at work and at home. We will get through this together.
