The Transport Workers Union of America reached out to JetBlue’s Vice President of Inflight Experience, Ed Baklor, to inquire about the questions we have received about JetBlue using IFCs net wages as opposed to their gross wages when calculating their unemployment eligibility.

Per Mr. Baklor, Crew Relations is aware of the issue, and they are actively working with IFCs who are experiencing this issue to get it resolved. If you are having issues with your unemployment compensation being calculated incorrectly, he has suggested you do one of the following:

  1. Reach out to Crew Relations at CRResources@jetblue.com
  2. Work directly with your supervisor and have it followed up on personally

Per the information we received, each issue is being handled on a case by case basis. If you have followed either (or both) of the above steps, and you feel like your case is not being handled, please reach out to us, and we will do what we can to assist.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in the Town Hall Conference call on June 19. We know there were quite a few questions we could not get to during the call, so we have posted those questions and answers on the website, underneath the call recording.

Stay safe at home and at work, and we’ll be reaching out to you with additional updates soon.
