Your TWU/JetBlue IFC Negotiating Team (NT) has just completed a three-day bargaining session with JetBlue Management in New York City. While we did hold productive discussions and reached resolution on some smaller issues, we were not able to reach final resolution on some very major issues that are important to IFCs. While we have made significant progress over the last few months, it is understandable that the issues most important to IFCs are the ones that must be hardest fought at the table, and we want you to join that fight by joining our TAP Team.
We do not have any additional negotiation dates scheduled, but your NT will meet at any time, for as long as it takes, to reach a fair contract. We hope that at our next session, JetBlue management will come to the table prepared and ready to solve problems.
We know that many of our IFCs have been affected by Hurricane Ida, including those who faced the torrential rains, severe winds, and flooding in the northeast on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. If there is anything we can do to assist you, please reach out to your union at b6.twu.org. While our options are limited without a contract, we will do whatever we can to support you.
Your next Union Tuesday meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 7 in FLL at Hamburger Mary’s, 2424 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors, FL from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., EDT. The meeting dates for the rest of September can be found below. Locations for future meetings will be announced next week.
|Sep. 13:||LAX Reschedule|
If you would like to join us at October’s Union Tuesday meeting, we will be holding that on October 5 in all bases from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., local time, so please bid accordingly.
Thank you for your continued support and unity. As we are fighting for you at the table, we are inspired by your solidarity and the amazing job you do every day on the aircraft facing unprecedented challenges. Have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!
