TWU / JetBlue IFC Negotiation Update—January 10, 2020

Happy New Year!

Your TWU / JetBlue IFC Negotiating Team (NT) has just completed a four-day bargaining session with JetBlue Management in New York City. We exchanged proposals on the Bidding, Scheduling, and Rescheduling Articles. Although we did not reach any Tentative Agreements, we made progress on all articles, and your NT and Management hope to resolve the final open issues at the next scheduled meeting February 17–21 in New York City.

While in New York, your NT also met with JetBlue ALPA Master Executive Council and Negotiating Committee Members to discuss the JetBlue Pilot contract and how it is interpreted and administered. We look forward to continuing this collaboration with our Pilot Union.

As we move through Scheduling issues in our contract, your NT will soon launch an economic survey to determine IFC priorities as we move into the next and final stage of negotiations. In order to make sure we have the best possible participation in the survey, please make an effort to speak with every IFC you fly with, especially New Hire IFCs, and encourage them to sign up for union updates and emails, which will include instructions for participating in the survey.

If you have any questions or feedback for your NT, please reach out to us directly. An informed and involved IFC workgroup is the key to our success.
